System Administration pertaining to the operation and parking of vehicles on University Property; to help safeguard property of the U.T. Systems or an institution of The University of Texas System.Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:Provide service to students, employees and visitors.Writes reports on incidents occurring at the University.Checks permits on vehicles entering and parked on campus.Directs flow of traffic and parking of cars when needed.Issues parking permits as needed.Issue University parking and traffic violation citations.Ensures all personnel entering facilities are properly identified.Patrols buildings and grounds, by foot, vehicle, bicycle and other means, to check for unauthorized subjects, fires, water leaks, and general building security, reporting all irregularities, emergencies, or suspicious activity to the University Police Office.Ensures all personnel entering the campus are properly identified.Issues visitor badges and maintains a log of all issued badges.Provides directions to locate buildings and offices and other general information to visitors.Enforces parking and traffic rules.Monitors fire and intrusion alarm system.Assists with setting roadblock equipment.Maintains daily activity log.May assist with dispatch duties.Aids patrons with car problems and provides escort for safety reasons.Must be available for On-Call duty.Maintains knowledge of penal and transportation codes.Must be able to work various shifts as assigned.Complies with all State and University policies.Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
