Team
The Defined Contributions Record Keeping Support team ensures the stability and availability of Fidelity's Record Keeping application for internal business users and Workplace Investing participants. The team possesses in-depth knowledge of Defined Contribution business processes and collaborates with client relationship managers and product teams to address incidents reported by participants and plan sponsors. We strive to provide outstanding support to all our customers, helping them adapt to the constantly evolving technology landscape and ensuring accurate data processing.
The Skills You Bring
- Demonstrated expertise in using VBA in Excel Developer.
- Ability to read, improve, and fix existing VBA code at various levels of complexity.
- Understanding of how APIs work and how Excel connects to various tools.
- Knowledge of how macros send commands to:
- Rumba, for updates and querying 3270 screens.
- Generate output files in Excel or Word formats.
- Update and query databases in MS Access and/or DB2/SQL tables.
- Compose and send emails from Outlook.
- Use Windows API to set active screens and take screenshots for macro processing.
- Basic understanding of SQL Server for querying and updating tables.
- Understanding of APIs for several web stores, using basic XML or JSON formats.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Six (6) years of experience writing software macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Micro Focus Rumba, or Strike.

- Ability to debug and thoroughly test macros before providing a test version to customers.
- Managing macros via Strike for versioning and production releases.
- Handling work intake on a case-by-case basis and providing the best solutions to customers.
- Collaborating with business teams to translate technical jargon into business terms and vice versa, providing solutions based on this understanding.
