This a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about strategically using litigation across multiple issue areas and jurisdictions to advance rights for young people in deep coordination with other forms of advocacy including policy, community power-building, and grassroots advocacy.This position is supervised by the Executive Director.Essential Functions<ul><li>Strategize to advance impact litigation across multiple issue areas and to advance young people’s access to the courts to secure their rights.</li><li>Develop, file, and pursue new impact litigation in partnership with team directors and NCYL’s Executive Director.</li><li>Create objectives, policies, and procedures for the Legal Advocacy Team.</li><li>In partnership with other team directors, help manage NCYL’s litigation caseload and case staffing.</li><li>Ensure appropriate supervision and professional development of staff on the Legal Advocacy team.</li><li>Coordinate with co-counsel on litigation. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.The Manager, Operational Risk Management (ORM), Monitoring, Aggregation &amp; Reporting will:<ul><li>Define and enhance processes for identifying and assessing risks (i.e., PRSA), and manage independent 2LoD testing of ORs, incl. integration of methodologies and test plans to address interconnected risks</li><li>Coordinate a holistic, de-duplicated independent risk assessment process</li><li>Identify BU risks in E2E, horizontal processes given location within the organization to look holistically across BUs and functional areas</li><li>Input into the risk based annual plan for testing</li><li>Proactively identify areas of concern or risk for targeted intervention</li><li>Oversee testing processes (incl. PRSA) in coordination with First Line of Defense (1LoD) and Third Line of Defense (3LoD)</li><li>Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other related metrics, and provide frequent reporting which include an overall view of risks and trends (e.g., holistic insight reporting)</li><li>Manage cross-functional Communities of Practice (CoPs) to share best practice techniques and pioneer new methodologies</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>4+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards&nbsp;</li><li>Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in at least one of the following:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Translating operational risk strategy and appetite into execution guidelines&nbsp;</li><li>Review the tracking and identifying of issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and risk appetite to ensure operational risks are managed within agreed thresholds&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee the implementation of the operational risk governance frameworks&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Manage the operational risk exam management processes&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Experience in financial services industry</li></ul>Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
