The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable and optimal solutions across the Compliance &amp; Risk domains with hands on configuring in the Service Now platform as well as groundbreaking technology to offer the best solution to support the business needs. They will provide ServiceNow experience, using Business and Technology knowledge to help develop and implement business partner strategies on time and within budget. The Candidate will participate in a wide range of activities across the portfolio, supporting functional capabilities and working primarily with other Engineers, Product Owners, and Staff Engineers.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for the timely delivery of development projects and may be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle, from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, implementation, and documentation.</li><li>Completes technology/implementation design documentation.</li><li>Provides estimates for design, build, test, and implementation phases.</li><li>Undertakes regular code reviews to ensure alignment with development, implementation, and performance standards, providing coaching and mentoring on design and coding techniques to engineers in scrum team.</li><li>Assists with updates to program specification/implementation documentation.</li><li>Works with scrum team to prepare configurations for production.</li><li>Involved in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing - reviews test scripts; aligns with wider testing strategy.</li><li>Provides consultation to product owners with recommendations to drive their requirements to success.</li><li>Provides input into technology roadmap and architectural direction based on product roadmaps. This can include supporting product evaluations through tooling recommendations based on gaps/needs, as well as helping to identify 3rd party tech and security strengths/gaps as period assessments of tooling as business/climate needs evolve and products offered change</li><li>Participate as part of a scrum team applying agile principles and tools including Rally. </li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications:</h4><ul><li>3+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java (8 or above).</li><li>Experience using applicable programming methodologies: JavaScript, API (Restful), XML, Java, Jelly scripting, Angular JS.</li><li>Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and writing optimized SQL queries.</li><li>Working knowledge of GCP (BigQuery, PubSub).</li><li>Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, or similar).</li><li>Experience with version control systems (Git) and standard branching workflows.</li><li>Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions and build tools (Maven or Gradle).</li><li>BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to present complicated solutions to multiple audiences, from the engineering team to Senior leaders.</li><li>Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.</li><li>Ability to write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).</li><li>Good problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues. </li></ul><h4>Preferred Qualifications:</h4><ul><li>Experience building/implementing JS utilities and full stack development experience.</li><li>3+ years Agile experience as well as hands on Scaled Agile Framework experience</li><li>Machine Learning or Generative AI knowledge is a plus.</li><li>An understanding of GRC/IRM industry trends.</li></ul>Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
